Dhaka, Bangladesh | 25 June 2026
Textile Innovation Exchange (TIE) and Mondol Group have signed a Partnership for Implementation of Innovation Circles (PIIC) agreement to introduce structured innovation practices within the company's factory operations. The agreement marks another milestone in advancing systematic innovation across Bangladesh's textile and apparel industry.
The agreement was signed by Md. Waliul Islam Swapon, Executive Director of Mondol Group, and Engr. Ehsanul Karim Kaiser, Chairman of Textile Innovation Exchange (TIE), in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations.
Driving Innovation Beyond Individual Projects
As global competition intensifies, textile manufacturers are increasingly focusing on systematic innovation to improve productivity, optimize operational costs, strengthen sustainability performance, and respond to evolving buyer expectations. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to embedding innovation as a continuous organizational capability rather than treating it as isolated improvement initiatives.
Implementing the PIIC Framework
Under the PIIC framework, four cross-functional Innovation Circles will be established within selected departments of Mondol Group. These teams will identify operational challenges, develop practical solutions, and validate measurable improvements through structured problem-solving methodologies.
Textile Today Innovation Hub (TTIH) will serve as the implementation partner, supporting the program through project facilitation, project management training, technical guidance, expert engagement, and performance tracking to ensure effective implementation aligned with industry requirements.
The four-month implementation roadmap includes:
- Management engagement and strategic alignment
- Formation of Innovation Circles
- Capacity development workshops
- Project management coaching
- Periodic project reviews
- Expert mentoring and technical support
- Performance measurement and knowledge sharing
The program is designed to ensure that successful innovations are practical, measurable, scalable, and replicable across the organization.
Expected Impact
Through the PIIC program, Mondol Group is expected to strengthen its internal innovation capability, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and enhance the capacity of its mid-management teams to systematically identify, evaluate, and solve operational challenges.
Beyond organizational benefits, the partnership contributes to the broader industry objective of building resilient manufacturing systems capable of sustaining long-term competitiveness in an increasingly demanding global market.
Leadership Perspective
Innovation is not a one-time effort; it is a continuous process. Through PIIC, we are building a structured approach that helps factories consistently identify opportunities, implement improvements, and strengthen long-term competitiveness.
